Los Mochis, Mexico - Former multi-division champion Humberto Soto (62-8-2, 35KOs) retained his World Boxing Council International junior welterweight championship with a twelve round unanimous decision over rookie sensation Mahonri "Russo" Montes (28-3) at the Sports Centenario in Los Mochis, Sinaloa. The scores were 117-112, 118-110 and 115-113. Humberto Soto wants to get a major title shot in 2014.
