Might as well watch boxing these days like we used to watch the WWE back in the day..hoping the right man wins but knowing its pre-determined.

The problem is most these guys are old and have been buddies with the promoters for ions. It's a tight nit group where you scratch my back and slip you an envelope or help your kid get into that college he wants.

It's not about the promoter, it's about the networks. They (Judges) know they are less likely to get selected for televised fights if they don't mostly favor the star out of the two boxers. Whoever is likely to have the bigger future is who from the start gets favored. Keep in mind these judges get flown to the events, put up in insane suites, get all expenses covered and it's a side job for them..so it's a vacation you are also getting paid for.Last edited by turnedup; 09-29-2013, 12:10 AM.Comment

Promoters,Networks,Sanctioning bodies. Different fingers same hand.
There's no way in hell Chavez gets 8th,9th,10th unless Carla accidentally scored the first 4 for Vera.
Reminds me of a judge giving DLH the last round against Trinidad because he was giving Trinidad so many rounds early that his card would look fishy since Trinidad didn't do anything in the early rounds.Comment

It's like she didn't even watch the fight. Gave Vera all the rounds she was going to give him early, right at the start. To get them out of the way.
Then just filled in Chavez Jr the rest of the way.Comment

Quite frankly I agree with both. It's a problem that will unfortunately never be fixed. It's not about the promoter, it's about the networks. They (Judges) know they are less likely to get selected for televised fights if they don't mostly favor the star out of the two boxers. Whoever is likely to have the bigger future is who from the start gets favored.
