ward's not fought an elite level guy with that skill set to date....

all tough fighters, but not 'boxers' per say.
I haven't given it a lot of thought, but wouldn't Dawson also have fallen into that "boxer" bracket?

What is clear is Dirrell did not want to fight him and it wasn't because they were so close because Ward has since made it clear that he would have taken the bout.

Agree with this comparison. I felt that Dirrell had the physical tools to be best in the division but not the mental toughness.

I had the fight with Froch a draw (both were shyte, Showbox commentary scandalous) & I picked him to beat Abraham but I think he's not a fighter at heart. An athlete yes, but not a fighter.

Shame, he could have lit up the division. Wish him the best.

      Now.... what about his brother?

I agree with everything you said except for you thinking Ward vs Dirrell would have looked like Roy vs Bhop 1.I`m not sure how close you had Roy vs Bhop 1, but i thought Roy dominated that fight.I felt Hopkins won 3 rounds at the most.Dirrell vs Ward would have been competitive in my book with Dirrell winning a close decision.

I believe Dirrell would beat GGG clearly today.Dirrell is so much more faster and way more skilled then GGG.

Andre Dirrells brother Anthony said he`s going after Bika next. Was he implying that the fight was offiicial?IDK.Bika is the WBC champion-which was a belt that Anthony was the mandatory for when Ward had it-but Ward did not want to fight Anthony and was planning to give it up,so Anthony could fight for the vacant title. But Anthony got into a motorcycle accident which cause him to have a year lay off.So Ward did not have to give up the WBC belt last year.
