Look at the guy in the orange/red puffer jacket on the right of the screen - has his 'phone out filming about the time of the flurry shown in the clip (round 4 or 5 I think, can't be bothered to recheck now) - and the angle looks 'bout right too....

Makes sense. I just hope we get to see the Canelo footage

Indicates Jr was 'embarrassed' by GGG 'a few weeks' before he pulled out of a scheduled Dec 4 (2010) fight - so Early - Mid Nov 2010 I'd guess. Unless they sparred more than once of course, but if so, I ain't heard of it.

This was then about a month before GGG had his WBA interim belt upgraded to full by fighting Tapia, so kinda part of that camp I 'spose.

Apparently was supposed to be part of a JCC media workout for the latin media, guess that didn't go to plan then... The Mexican wunderkind being popped all over the ring by an unknown Kazakh..

Ah got it - Alfonso Gomez was supposed to be Jrs opponent - he was coming off a win over Soto Karass and retiring Castillo on his stool. Jr was however well enough to fight the far less impressive Billy Lyell a month and a half later. Wonder if GGG made him reconsider his choice of opponent?
