I don't really know how anyone can argue that Mayweather did not school Canelo to be honest. The fight made his limitations as a fighter apparent, he learned what is effective against him and what is not effective against certain fighters.

I think we're going through the normal phase of a Mayweather fight.
Stage 1: Claim Mayweather will never fight a particular fighter.
Stage 2: Claim that said fighter will topple Mayweather.
Stage 3: Begrudgingly accept that Mayweather put on a dominating performance.
Stage 4: When the dust settles diminish his performance, until some would believe it was a competitive bout, whilst moving back to stage 1.
I would never call you a liar.

Sorry, but round 12 was just like the rest... Up to a minute left in a fight or less, Chavez connected with a good punch and yet still couldn't fallow through... Even with Sergio running on one leg!

Alvarez looked hopeless trying different strategies, to the point he was sitting on the ropes confused. He never came close to controlling a round or figuring Mayweather out. He learned some harsh lessons about his abilities. That's a schooling.

Why not? That's exactly what it was.

Meant to vote canelo. Jr closed the show admirably.

the best way to describe canelo-floyd is...uneventful. schooling doesn't even come to mind.

Canelo didn't get "schooled" at all. He got outplayed and outmaneuvered.

canelo got schooled did nothing in the whole fight at all but play defense and throw one twos to floyd body.

just look at his face at the end of the fight i thought he was gonna cry.

chavez got humbled but martinez didn't leave that fight without a blemish himself chavez finally woke up and did some serious damage in the 12th.
