Seeing Chavez looking seriously drained at 172lbs, yet he could still make 160 to fight Martinez.

Maybe Ward could use the same methods the Chavez camp used to take off weight, to meet Floyd.

Chavez was definitely cheating his ass off to make 160. I guess if Ward did the same he might make 160 or something between 154 and 160.

Why don't Ward and Chavez just fight each other? I'd pay to see it, long as the fight had a decent undercard!

You mean having the weight limit raised by 13 pounds?

yes these threads are dumb. Floyd is to small to fight at those weights.

Chavez has just shown he has problems making 168 so how can he be anything but weak at 160? Chavez should fight at a weight he can make without straining for the rest of his fighting career. If he can make 168 and still be strong then fight there. If he needs to go to 175 to comfortably make weight then fight there. What's the point of going to 160 for a rematch with Martinez? He will be so weak that even the older and further over the hill version of Martinez will still beat the hell out of him. Maybe Chavez is not good enough to beat the best fighters in his natural weight class of 168 or 175 which ever it is. He owes it to himself to quit killing himself to make weight and see what he can do coming into fights fit and strong and not drained.
