      dayyymmmmnnnn asian..thats HARSH!!!
Without the technicians, the sport wouldnt be called "the sweet science". I'm not knocking a ko, but every once in a while, I love watching guys use the ring, stick and move...it's amazing just how much training and concentration goes into it. I was suprised when I first got hooked..thought it was just getting in the ring and throwing punches..thats the least of it really. Ring smarts is a very good thing

I like watching a guy who is a boxer puncher, but one who just goes in there and spoils the fun for everyone like an Ian Gardner or a Winky Wright is simply disgusting to me. I'm a Pinoy, that means I want to see warriors.

I can't beleieve someone said that they would give the win to a fighter that scored three KD's in the first round, and then was schooled for the remaining 11 rounds! lol
Now I'm a Pac fan, but some of you guys make me ashamed to even admit it. I saw Pac-Barrera, Pac-JMM, and Pac-Morales I and II.
IMO Pac dominated Barrera and Morales in the second half of the second fight, but was soundly beaten in the first Morales fight, and was soundly beaten for the first 6 or 7 rounds of the second Morales fight, in which he basically only had the left that rocked Morales. Pac was only able to do anything after Morales gassed, and I still have yet to see how Pac's body attack was a greater factor than Morales struggling to make weight. That being said, he did win the fight by KO, but now only holds a win and a loss where Morales is concerned. If Pac wins a third fight just as convincingly then I'd say he's the better man, but not until. And the JMM fight could have been a huge win for Pac if that ref had decided to stop it in the first round. But because he didn't, it turned out to be a major letdown for Pac's fans. After tagging JMM with the left THREE times in a row, one would think he could have done it at least a fourth time. However, JMM adjusted, shifted gears, and left Pac in the dust. For the poster that said Pac is great because he makes Mexican greats and makes them look like B-level fighters, he hasn't done that yet. And what makes a legend? Longevity, that's why so many experts are sickened by Tyson's career. My two cents.

              Well said.

I was just wondering...why would you be ashamed for somebody else's action. If you think you are not one of the absurd Pac fans (who believe Manny is god) and don't associate yourself with them as was implied in your post, then there's no point to feel so. I'm a Pacman fan (proud to be one and being Pinoy at that) but I don't care what the other Pac fans say because it's them that are putting themselves on the line not me, so why bother? It doesn't follow that if a group of Pac fan are guilty of "wrong doing", that Manny is guilty as well.

I have to disagree with you about the MAB and the PAC-EM 2 fights. Pac clearly dominated MAB in their fight from start to finish. The knock down was wrongly called; tt was a slip as shown by the replay. Even that round belonged to Pac IMO. In PAC-EM2, Morales clearly won 3 rounds (rounds 3-5) and Pacquiao 6 rounds(rds 2, 6-10). The first round was a toss up but 2 judges gave it to Pac. There's no doubt in my mind that Manny was winning the fight before the stoppage.

To imply that Manny won because Erik dehydrated himself is a weak argument IMO and is only an offer of excuse for Erik's loss. Firstly after Erik loss to Raheem, his camp was very quick to say that he was too small for 135. Now that he lost to Manny at 130, he was too big to make the weight. So which one is it? Second, Erik trained for two months for the second fight longer than Manny and claimed he was 100% days before the fight. His minions were even saying praises that it was one of the best shapes Erik had in years and that his training hard really showed the result. Now that he lost to Manny, he gassed himself out of the game. That seemed funny to me.

To make it look that Manny didn't do anything good to KO Morales in one of the biggest fights in super featherweight history is like taking away Manny's victory, let alone the discipline, dedication, sacrifice, and hard work he and his camp put together to win this fight. To downplay all of these things and Manny's victory that night is an insult to boxing itself, because all those things is what boxing is all about.

As for a grudge fight between him and Erik, Manny has already said and has kept on saying - he's always ready any time, anywhere. If Erik is up for another challenge, Pacman is more than willing to give him that chance.

Moreover with regards to the JMM fight - don't say it like JMM didn't hit the canvass three times. The thing with the anti-Pac people is that they only see the last 10 rounds. I know that a lot of people has a thing for technical boxers coz they look like martial artists inside the ring. However, boxing is not a dance competition where you score high for being graceful and feminine. Boxing is for warriors who more often than not, winning by force is the main discipline. Knockdown has more points for a reason because power and strength play big role in the game. Sure JMM won majority of the rounds in that fight, but was he able to send Manny to the canvass? The answer is a resounding NO! JMM IMO won most of the rounds from round 3 but Manny won at least 3 more rounds of that last 10 rounds, so in my book Manny won that fight. However I give JMM his due for boxing his way out of that 3 knockdowns and almost stole that fight from Manny. But it was a draw so I leave it that way.

As for longevity, Manny has been on top of the competition since 2001 (if you only consider his NA exposure). But what is mind-boggling is - he is just peaking!

                  There's my 2 cents.
