Promoter Artie Pelullo of Banner Promotions has stated that a rematch between his boxer, Bryan Vera, and former champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., would have to take place at the middleweight limit of 160-pounds.

Vera faces Chavez on Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

The weight for the fight has been a controversial matter, as Vera's team watched the weight limit rise from 163 to 173 over the last few weeks. They were going to fight at super middleweight, but Chavez is having some weight struggles and the match was moved closer to the light heavyweight limit.

He's just a fighter. They're supposed to be confident and practice self-belief. Vera should be given major credit for still going through with a MW contest at 173 pounds. Chavez is the joke here. And a bad one at that.
