Alvarez wants no part of isrilaandy Lara. thats a concern since he wants to be the best jr middleweight. he's ducking GGG at 160 so why not fight the best at 154. i'm not knocking Cotto.but he's been through to many wars. if not Lara then fight carlos molina. atleast he's a champion.

Why is Canelo so against working his way up??
Why is he the only guy in the sport that thinks that he deservers only the MAJOR paydays?
How about him fighting some of the other ranked guys, Lara, Molina, a Trout remacth?

I think Cotto presents some match-up problems for Canelo. And I don't think Cotto is nearly as "past it" as most people think. I think it all comes down to how much Cotto still wants it. I think a Floyd-Cotto rematch is sellable. And with that on the table and the whole Mexico-Puerto Rico rivalry. I think this might could be that one great performance a once great fighter still has in him. And I wouldn't be shocked at all if Cotto scored the upset.

Canelo should 1. go back to the drawing board 2. take a tune up 3. quit getting ahead of himself. He needs to let himself develop and be great. He's 23, not 29. Cotto should be next, but after a tune up. Canelo is a very solid fighter, just has to improve certain things that are obvious.
