There's an old Indian (sorry, can't recall which tribe) saying, "You can't cross the same river twice. The water flows and the river is never the same."

It was a different Pac that Erik met for the second time, as it was a different Erik that Pac met.

IF a third one happens, I subscribe to the above saying. What I am close to being sure of is that the third shall be quite a show as well. It's in the character of those guys to make it so.

The predictions prior to the fight that Pac was married to his old style went out the window when he showed that he didn't have to divorce his old style, he just has to make the marriage work better. As for Erik, he realized as early as the closing second of the second round when he got staggered near the ropes for the first time by a Pac punch, that it was a different customer he was facing. That got him thinking. When it happened again in the 6th, Erik, as was his instinct displayed in previous fights, did not jump back into the fray; instead, he stayed where he regained his footing and valiantly gestured to Pac to bring him some more. An Erik who doesn't go by his warrior instincts is not THE Erik.

So, what shall happen if a third comes around?

I can't wait to see! But, let's give both heroes a chance to take a good rest. They deserve that. In the meantime, we can replay both fights in our minds and wring every drop of excitemen from them.

That would mean Morales lost his trilogies against the best fighters he eva fought. Lost 2 times gainst Barrera and about to lose again against Manny.

Or will he just duck Pac from here on?
I doubt Morales would win a rematch based on what I have seen from his last two fights but for some reason I would not mind seeing Pac/Morales III anyway although it seems unlikely at this point.

i dont think it would be fair to post such question just yet judging from the humiliating loss to pac recently. right now the general consesus is that pac more better than erik. but morales is one of the fighters who really can beat pac although it would really have to take some adjustments on his part. he cant match with pac power to power but he has the edge to box skill-wise which i think is his only good advantage against pac. in about a year or two, if he doesnt consider himself as "shot" by that time , he may be able to give pac one helluva fight. i think that is what we should be looking for rather than anticipate another defeat by morales.

If this a fight for the future Morales will lose, he's past his prime days

I don't see Morales beating Pac again, only way he has a chance, if Pac had a bad cut or something.

I personally don't want to see the 3rd fight between these 2. Just give the JMM or Barrera fights, I want to see the rematches with these 2.
