He is a good fighter though, skilled and exciting to watch. I wouldn't call any fighter a bum..even so, Khan is far from being a bum.
He came up short once since Prescott despite facing 8 former, current or future world champions, 1 european champion and 2 unbeaten fighters.

I don't think that qualifies as "always fall short".

He's fought serious fighters. He is just a 5 round fighter.

What unbeaten fighters, McCloskey and Salita? Garbage fighters. The Maidan, Paulie, Kilelnik and Judah are good wins but far from super star status. The Peterson fight he should had won but he struggled in that fight. HE is just a fast fighter and nothing else

I used to absolutely hate Amir Khan but somehow I completely flipped on him. I do feel he has regressed a bit in the last year but that may be because of the change of trainers. How can you not take a fighter seriously when he has taken the most serious competition in his weight class? He has a good resume at junior welterweight. As with every boxer's career, there is going to be bouts that are rebuilding or building bouts. He is about to enter the prime year's of his career and I do hope that he can rise back to the top.

I didn't say he 'always falls' short. I said (IMO) he will fall short against the real quality fighters.
He beats most fighters, but when/if matched up against the top fighters in the division, i see his him falling short. I see his weaknesses (chin / survival instinct) being ruthlessly exposed by fighters on top of their game.

I'm not knocking him, i've been a fan all of the career. I rate him, i just don't see him kicking-on and being able to mix it with the elite fighters.
