Devon Alexander's manager and trainer Kevin Cunningham recently spoke to BoxingScene.com about Amir Khan's decision to bring in Rick Coward to work the mitts in Khan's training camp for his December 7th fight against Alexander.

Khan recently posted the decision on his Twitter account. He said that he is bringing in Coward who is known as "Coach Rick the Mittologist" and according to his Twitter account is a reality tv star.

Khan also tweeted that Coward will do all of the mitt work in this camp while trainer Virgil Hunter coaches from the side.

I understand Khan is a moron but will Team Alexander please ST-FU already? These guys accuse Khan of wanting a Mayweather fight but they seem to need Khan an awful lot more than they are letting on. I like Devon but damn if his trainer can't S T F U for just one day.

Team Alexander are sounding more and more desperate by the day. Khan is a boxer who pays his trainer and team their wages and puts food on their families tables - he can bring in whoever he wants. Whats the big deal.. It's not as if Hunter is training Khan out of the kindness of his own heart - he's doing it for hard cash and a happy meal.

Khan wants to be like Floyd so bad it really pathetic. Hunter should have told Khan to train with Coach Rick in NJ, Not a big Devon fan but i hope he KOs Amir. Everybody should be sick of him by now. Now all of a sudden coach Rick is going to make u Floyd Mayweather just cuz he can imitate Roger on mitts which is not for much more than cardio. GTFOH

Man, I just don't know about Khan's confidence anymore. The only adjustment that he had to do was to keep a consistent jab and not drop that right hand when he lets his hands go. He telegraphs his punches when he throws and I know Virgil has been trying to help him on that, but for some reason it made Khan a little gun-shy. Watching Khan trying to comeback is like watching an old man trying to walk again. He needs this Alexander test to redeem that confidence again in fighting at a world class level.
