    Takashi Koshimoto upsets Injin Chi!

And it sounds like the scoring was shady. The fight took place in Japan and the scores read 115-112 and 114-113 Koshimoto and 116-111 for Chi. Something sounds really shady about the judging of the bout. Koshimoto is now the WBC 126 lb champ and will face Humberto Soto. info from *********

Well supposely, in Japan, you can't win decisions if your coming in opponents backyard. They will heavily favor the Japanese fighter over the foreign challenger anyday. Sucks big time since Chi was a huge favorite.

someone on another site i go to who watched the bout said there was a point taken away from Chi for what would have been ruled an accidental headbutt in most other countries and that made a difference. but again this sounds like something that has to be seen to be judged

that kinda sucks cause chi showed he was a pretty tough bastard in the morales fight. chi- soto probably would have been awesome, i have no clue who this other guy is but hopefuly soto will beat him and become the champ. i became a fan of soto after his fight with juarez...

I bet the two judges had it right. you're just speculating. is there a download of the fight somewhere? there were two non-japanese judges. I think all three. Noppharat Sricharoen doesn't sound japanese to me, but guess it could be.

This is sad, Pacquiao vs Chi would've been "Thrilla in Manila 2" when Pac fights in the Philippines this summer. Now it's gone

I'm glad Chi lost. Didn't want to see him in a fight where he was supposed to win. so, good. No way they'll put Koshimoto in against someone he's supposed to beat on TV here.
