Good question, bro. Rigo's an interesting cat. You're never certain who's gonna show up. The Cordoba fight seems like it was a million years ago. Since then, Rigo hasn't looked back. His very next fight, as if to make up, Guille tore through Casey in one. Then he clobbered a cowering Ramos in six. Next was a five round annihilation of the woefully overmatched Kennedy. But then Marroquin survived twelve and rocked "El Chacal" a couple of times in the process.
I wasn't sure what to expect after that. It turned out that Rigo was saving a masterful performance versus a P4P fighter. Against Donaire, Guillermo didn't back down. He exchanged with Nonito and never showed a trace of wavering.
Of course, since the Donaire fight, Rigo's treatment has been de****able. Given his track record, he might be looking to take Agbeko out. Joseph's style will play into Guille's hard-hitting counterpunching. But, although Agbeko has been down a couple of times, he's never been out. I don't think Rigo will press too hard for the KO. In the end, he's too careful to take unnecessary chances. "El Chacal" only goes for the kill when he sniffs real weakness. I'll be impressed if Guillermo KOs Agbeko, but I think this one is going to the cards.
