First you had countless of Danny hating threads/Lucas the killer threads and now you have the countless amount of excuse threads for Lucas losing.

The Lucas campa and Lucas himself haven't complained but the sore losers here do nothing but cry

DSG is a pro, there is no way his accuracy is that bad. I don't know how it can be argued that he isn't hitting Matts in the thighs on purpose.

It happened over and over and over again. I've seen countless fights between club fighters where not a single low-blow was landed. Yet, a champion lands several, clean, hard, low-blows? On the flip-side, I've seen a few fights where a fighter was DQed after a fraction of the low-blows Garcia landed.

Weeks should've been more strict in his enforcement of the rules and deducted a point earlier. I'm not saying it would've changed the outcome of the bout -- Danny fought a great fight -- but it would've left no question.

2. So Lucas is supposed to just take low blows? THAT'S WHAT THE REF IS THERE FOR. Did you see the ref in the Floyd Canelo fight? See, that's what he's there for. Again, who cares about his fans?

2) can you post a video of how many times Lucas held Danny head down?

1 peterson was lucas last fight & he did the same exact rabbit punching off the clinch that he did with garcia............

2. & garcia landed about 3 clean crisp low blows (the rest were hip punches and and on the belt) lucas held garcias head down 2 of those 3. (re read my post)

I think Garcia outboxed Lucas. I agree.

But I also think that Garcia aimed low. Why is it that all of a sudden he can't keep his hands up? That shot in 12th was delivered with bad intent. NOTHING ACCIDENTAL ABOUT THAT. He did it in purpose to speed up the end of the fight. If he is willing to do that, then i think its fair to pick him apart for the previous 11.

Did this play a factor? We don't know. But point is that this sohuld not have been an issue.

And this, my friends, is really what this whole debate is about.

Look man, stop it. Lucas didn't fight exactly like danny, but he fought dirty v pete. Danny fought Lucas dirty. If lucas was as good as you said he would've done something about it. He couldn't.

As for fair fight, no one is saying Lucas didn't deserve a fair fight. Most posters are saying you are pretending the dirtiness changed the outcome. What changed the outcome was danny eating Lucas power shots early and Lucas not being good enough or skilled enough to beat a world class fighter any way but by KO.

Point deductions would have changed the cards, if they had been administered by Weeks. Acting like Danny's tactics didn't help him is just denial, plain and simple. Clinching Matts when he got close and hitting him low enough helped him win.

Are they the ONLY reason he won? No, I'm not saying that and I never have been. But they played a role in the outcome and to claim otherwise is either A. You hate Lucas' fans and how vocal we were prior to the fight or B. it's really A, but you don't want to admit it.

If Lucas had flopped to the canvas instead of pushing through the pain of those low blows, Danny would have gotten DQ'd.

This is the one time where Lucas' tough guy mentality lost him the fight. There were a lot of shots below the belt. Just going to keep it real.

I agree. The number 1 reason Lucas lost is not even that Danny can hit. Lucas took the shots fine considering he took some clean ones. Its Danny's granite chin.

With all that said, if Danny is gonna aim low, then as a fan (and i was rooting for Lucas, but thought Danny would take it), it does give me a seed of doubt. What if Lucas had retaliated? I wish the ref had done what the ref in Floyd fight did. We wouldn't have to have this discussion.

To at least let Danny know that he was aware of it and watching. Guarantee if he had taken a point in the 7th, that shit would have stopped real fast.

This is a great point. Matthysse didn't even take a breather after the low-blow Garcia was penalized for. Danny was truly playing with fire.
