Comments Thread For: Pedro Diaz Willing To Join The Corner of Juanma

As reported a few days ago, former two division champion Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez (33-3, 30KOs) confirmed that he is currently considering the possibility of hiring Cuban coach Pedro Diaz, who previously trained Juanma's countryman Miguel Cotto, and currently trains Guillermo Rigondeaux and Odlanier Solis. Juanma and Diaz have been discussing the details and their talks are ongoing. Juanma wants to return later this year or in early 2014.

What's the point of bringing Pedro Diaz if you still going to have the same crappy trainer(Alex Caraballo) in your corner.

Juanma needs like year with Diaz, to change the old habits take time.
First juanma needs to learn how to move, how to work he three distances and get a sound defence, all these take time.

              Defense and movements

If you don't know defense, you will not win, you will just become a punching bag. Wear and tear = retirement, or you will risk brain damage even some more.

Pedro says he requires three things, "discipline, dedication and desire," or "don't even bother talking" to him. So why's he still training Solis? lol
