Comments Thread For: Oleksandr Usyk, Olympic Champion, is Heading To K2

Contrary to widespread reports that had him going elsewhere, 2012 Olympic gold medal winner Oleksandr Usyk is heading to K2 Promotions. A press conference is scheduled for Wednesday in Kiev, where the heavyweight from Ukraine will be present, along with WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko, and the CEO of K2 Promotions Ukraine Alexander Krasiuk, will be present to make the announcement. Usyk also won the 2011 World Amateur Championships.

I thought he already signed with Top Rank?

Either way great move for Usyk. I think Lomachenko should of signed with K2 as well. K2 is the ideal promoter for both of them, IMO. Top Rank isn't bad for Lomachenko, seems like they're going to put everything into making him a star but if was with K2 he could fight the best available from TR and GBP and not be bound to one network.
