The controversy continues with David Haye's late withdrawal from his heavyweight grudge match with Tyson Fury. The fight was scheduled for September 28th in Manchester, but Haye withdrew on Saturday after stating that he suffered a cut above his on Friday from a sparring session. The cut required six stitches and Haye posted a photo of the damage.

Are they implying that David Haye used special effects make-up to fabricate that cut he posted a pic of? Seems a bit far fetched, but anything is possible.

Maybe Haye was lacking a little confidence as his sparring partners were to good and made haye feel not too good as they were beating him up a bit too much.

Just reschedule it and get it made. These things happen all the time in boxing, maybe not under such circumstances as sparring so close to a fight and getting cut. But you could pull an ankle doing roadwork a few days before a fight anything can happen.
So Fury will just have to accept that and not get disheartened.

I agree, after watching that PR video of him training and sparring I did think Haye's normally in better shape - but I wasn't too sure when the video was shot..

But all the make-up/conspiracy talk has to stop, for an event of this size an independent doctor would have to rule him out (insurance, bbbofc etc).
