The former WBA lightweight champion of the world and one of the most charismatic figures in the sport, Rios has added outspoken strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza to his team as he prepares for the challenge of Pacquiao.

Ariza created a name for himself in boxing largely due to nearly five years of assisting Pacquiao in his training camps. During that time, the results Ariza was able to produce with Pacquiao were unquestioned yet he also had a way of creating attention because of his brazen approach to all aspects of the sport.

My opinion is that this is a damned good interview. He let Garcia talk and say what he wanted to, and the way he wanted to, and most importantly, it looks as if Chris put it down exactly the way it was said. Garcia got his points across just the way he meant them to be understood. At least by me anyway.

Garcia wants Arizas best work , then he should give him a bit of respect , grandstanding in a public arena is not the way to fly , talk to the man in private set him straight and that's it , this character assassination in public is BS .

Tell Brandon to go swim!" is how I greet him every morning. If he blows this opportunity he'll be homeless because nobody else will want him." He sounds one part insecure abusive boyfriend and one part incredibly unprofessional trainer. I don't see this lasting past a fight or two.
Sounds like you got serious relationship issues. This is boxing not Dr. Phil or Maury Povich

The words Rios and charismatic don't belong in the same sentence together, IMHO. Let alone making it sound like he's so much more charismatic then most out there (inferred by "one of the most"). He's a goofy kid that likes to fight and ****. But charismatic??? Uh, I think an easy dictionary definition check is in order.

              Charisma

              1. a special quality conferring extraordinary powers of leadership and the ability to inspire veneration.
              2. a personal magnetism that enables an individual to attract or influence people.
              3. Also, char•ism (ˈkær ɪz əm) a divinely conferred gift or power

charismatic - possessing an extraordinary ability to attract; "a charismatic leader"; "a magnetic personality"
adjective charming, appealing, attractive, influential, magnetic, enticing, alluring

Wow, that's really putting things under a microscope to put things in perspective. Scrutiny to the tenth power. Lol but however, extremely beautiful avatar.

I have much respect for Ariza. He took Pacquiao from 126 to 151 and had him retain his speed and agility. That's a badass S&C coach if u ask me. As for the drama? I'm thinking Ariza knows he the shiznit and became too conceited/outspoken.

Garcia has respect for Ariza's experience and accomplishments or else he wouldn't have hired him. At the same time Garcia is aware of Ariza's bad side and is doing his best to mitigate any potential drama.
