Oh, and the Cotto fight HBO overpaid for...

What's next? Zou Shiming vs. A homeless Chinaman?

    Awesome.

How is HBO ****** enough to give Cotto 3 million for a fight vs ESPN level Delvin, they are dumber than the average fan.

It'll be great to have HBO show live boxing every weekend. The matchups are decent, but it seems that they're basically swarming the schedule with quantity over quality... mismatches starring fun fighters. This upcoming weekend was going to be their best show top to bottom until Haye-Fury was cancelled.

Showtime and GBP seem to have an excellent strategy; they just went on a solid run, while HBO went into exile for the Summer (as they usually do), closing out with the highest revenue grossing fight ever only showing a Hopkins (one of the high ratings generator despite his style), Quillin, and Wilder (2 intriguing fighters that are among the best punchers in their respective divisions) tripleheader. Then closing out the year strong with Khan-Alexander (Khan's last chance at qualifying for Mayweather; I think Garcia takes the shot if Khan loses) and Brroner-Maidana (GBP reportedly looking at putting Mares-Gonzalez II on the undercard).

The competition between networks is good as long as it forces the promoters to give us better matchups and more packed shows top to bottom.

Hopefully the days of Arum giving us lackluster undercards are over.

Never heard of vacant belts? Canelo Hatton doesn't ring a bell? Mares Morel? At least it's not at a CW like these 2.

It's not that different than Broner Paulie, which cost 2.5m+, but Cotto will do better numbers on TV and live

HBO still hasn't paid any of Shiming's outrageous purses. As cheap extra boxing on TV goes, the Shiming cards >>> SHO Extreme

Hopkins, Quillin and Wilder are all mismatched. Broner Maidana is a PPV. So that leaves you with Khan vs TBA. I gotta say Khan is usually a good show, the Julio Diaz fight was very competitive

How's Salido not top 10 at FW? It's a crap matchup, agreed, the TR undercards blow
