WBC silver featherweight champion Robinson "Robin" Castellanos (19-9, 12KOs) is demanding a crack at the full World Boxing Council championship, currently held by Jhonny Gonzalez. On Saturday night in Cancun, Castellanos knocked out Dereck Wilson in six rounds. Afterwards, he got on the mic and told the crowd that he wants that full title shot.
Castellanos was in line to face then champion Daniel Ponce De Leon, who lost the title to Abner Mares in May, and then Mares lost the title to Gonzalez in August. Gonzalez and Mares will have a rematch in December.
