I don't disagree that intelligent, motivated boxers can up their defensive game. Is Khan either of those things? I have my doubts.

Khan was doing a dance for most of the rounds against Julio Who? Diaz. In my opinion, after such a performance in which it became clear that he's learned very little since his knockout loss to Danny Garcia, it's an insult to boxing fans to mention Khan's name alongside that of Mayweather. Heck, Khan is lucky that he is still enough in the mix to fight Alexander.

I think he is motivated to improving but for some reason doesn't have the intellect to get with the program. Perhaps his trainers are not putting him on the right track or maybe he just doesn't get what the trainers are telling him to do ... or perhaps he fits the "hard to teach an old dog new tricks" and reverts quickly to his bad habits.

Whatever it is, he needs to change something FAST because he will not be getting that many more opportunities.

As for getting opportunities to fight guys like Floyd, I have been saying it even before the Garcia fight that it was a joke to put him next for Floyd. The talk from GB back then was a good performance against Garcia then Floyd is next. People buy the hype but not me. Khan had to prove it at WW first against notable opponents and then we see if perhaps he is ready. Too many fights are happening because of the hype even though there is no proof to back that hype up!
