Comments Thread For: Alfredo Angulo on December Return, Lara Rematch

....The rematch is deserved. If it wasn't for the eye Angulo could've very well stopped Lara. It's the same reason I want a rematch for Matthysse - Garcia I want a real conclusive finish with no controversy.
If it was a one sided fight where Anglo quit then, I wouldnt agree with some of the biased fans in this thread. There's no reason for it, but when Lara is getting dropped while the chicken dance every other round. Yea, id say the rematch needs to happen.

I'm a HUGE Angulo fan but GBP stacked the deck against Lara the first time. I expect him to be more aware of things like ring size during negotiations and if things are fair, he'll beat Alfredo in a rematch.

BTW, Angulo was thumbed in the first fight but not by the punch the commentators were looking at.

thumb or no thumb it was a great fight and close one after the thumb. I felt that angulo was on the way to stop lara but lara showed great hear as well as angulo.
Why are people arguing about it if you are all boxing fans wouldn't you guys want to see it again. it wasn't one sided fight it was your typical boxer vs puncher fight

And leaving aside the eye for a moment the fact remains that the fight was entertaining and competitive. Angulo was very much in it by scoring two explosive knockdowns. Why wouldn't people want to see a rematch?

Not saying that a rematch is a bad match up,just that Lara has earned the shot to fight for a belt..To move on in his career..Why can't people see that,Angulo should have fought on(since people feel he was on his way to stopping Lara)and not quit on himself..That was his choice and one he has to live with..
Why now does Lara have to put his career in reverse??Shoe on the other foot,do you believe Angulo would do the same for him??I sure as hell don't..

I have no problem with Lara fighting for the title. There's just a lot of people on here acting like an Angulo rematch wouldn't be interesting and like their first fight was a blowout.
Which is bull.
