    think about it.
That isn't the only reason why people watch Batman, at least use analogies that correctly illustrate the point you are trying to make.

Floyd had a solid, loyal fan base before the DLH fight but that fight catapulted him to stardom. Floyd took control of his own destiny. Not only did he fight Oscar but he put up an epic performance during the 24/7 shows. Floyd gets a reaction out of everyone. Whether it's good or bad people will pay attention. You may never see a fighter with a style similar to Floyd being this popular again.

Floyd isn't popular, but the people he's paying know how to sell him as a brash undefeated fighter, and that was proven when they hijacked the 'Cinco De Mayo' spot.

That angle against a decent well known Mexican on that date for the last few years = Money.

Before that Floyd needed a big Star to go against for big numbers.

It takes two, or in Floyd's case: It takes a Mexican on Cinco De Mayo.

I think it's mainly due to his personality. If he was like an Andre Ward who doesn't like to talk trash, he wouldn't be anywhere as popular as he is now. Also, he's done a lot of crossover things like Wrestlemania & Dancing with the Stars so more people know who he is by doing those things. Also, staying undefeated certainly helps him a lot. Lots of people pay to see him lose & it hasn't happened.

I am SICK of these fuqn threads comparing Floyd's style to rigondeaux's!

The only similarities between them is good defence and counter punching ability. One can box and fight, one can't stop running without getting dropped and wobbled.

I always say he is to good for his own good...there is no room for perfection in modern boxing it seems bit i'll be damned if it hasnt worked for ***ing kid.lol....i am not shocked that he has made it this far though in terms of his skillset....popularity wise, his skillset has everything to do with his drawing power now it seems and for a while and its unfortunate for him because he has to market that 0 now until he retires because his style is too good to male an exciting fight unless he puts himself at risk...he has to downgrade himself to make people happy and it is dangerous...so, sincw he values that 0, and is not willing to just get rid of it to please casual fans, he has to continie to be himself in promoting his figjts woth his money gimmick and make it a circus act and magic shoq all in one to either wow you or piss you off to pay to see him lose, and continue to get that big boy check each fight.....he is a genius maerketer....but, there is no such thing as pleasing everybody, and he knows that very well so he'll accept his current status..lol...
