Garcia has a good chin, but he survived because Matthysse didn't have the same snap behind his punches. He could still hit hard, but not knockout hard.

What's su****ious about Matthysse was his knockout and knockdown ratio. It was ridiculously high. And he was even doing it against elite competition. Then suddenly he gets random drug tested for the first time, hits Garcia flush a bunch of times, and yet Garcia was never dazed and never hit the canvas. Zab Judah seemed to hurt Garcia more or just as much as Matthysse. And Judah is not a knockout artist.

This is just my opinion, but I agree with Hunter.

Bradley sparred with Lucas right before the fight and said he was a terrific puncher. Just because he didn't knock Garcia down does not mean he never hurt him. Garcia has a very good chin and has never been knocked down.

Virgil's probably the biggest ***got in boxing and I take great pleasure upon viewing his fighters lose. Especially Dallas Jr. I'm not exactly sure why he's taking pride in someone else's win, but Floyd fans do the same thing so I guess it's prevalent in boxing.

Matthysse didn't look any worse or any less strong against Garcia than he ever has.
