True, but it was because of the hate Danny received on this board. He showed heart, skill, and determination. Proved to be a champion that has more than one trick up his sleeve. People had no choice but to respect him now.

And that was likely in large part because Angel undeniably says some pretty disrespectful stuff. Lucas also got more hype/attention because he was knocking out/destroying most of his opponents, while Danny had beaten most of his opponents via decision. He also hadn't exactly been dominant against Judah in his prior fight either.

Danny was clearly underestimated though and is a heck of a fighter.

Not according to the judges but I agree, until the knockdown this one was going to the wire. I had Garcia by a point in the end.

Credit to Danny tho, he's a good guy, underrated boxer with a tremendous chin.

Actually, if not for the knockdown Lucas probably wins the rounds and the fight on two judges' scorecards. All three judges had it reasonably close, very well judged fight. It was the only fight that didn't have a weird scorecard that night.

Matthysse won the wild exchange at the end of the 12th. Garcia realized he was trying to outbrawl a brawler, and grabbed Mattysse until the bell sounded . Other than that, Garcia clearly won the rest of the fight.

I agree with this. The disrespect that they showed to Garcia and any body that support him was epic and intense. Now they have to eat crow and some of them either have layed low or totally disappeared
