Macklin certainly looked like a threat to Martinez for much of that fight. His power ain't bad nor is Gabe Rosado's to be honest. I'm not saying they are heavy hitters or anything, but they look to have respectable power at least.

Also, is everyone a bum in your eyes until they have a good pro resume and/or have taken a good shot from a power puncher?

Also there is no harm in a fighter getting a lot of hype when they explode on the scene. Anyone that can draw attention and talk is only good for the sport. I was high on Matthysse also and I still am. In the process I have also gained a lot more excitement and respect towards Danny. Danny proved his toughness to me, something I questioned in the later rounds against Judah. It is all good. I cannot figure out why so many of you bicker in here about it!LOL

I will say I do love his fighting style and tune into every fight. He has a huge amount of potential. Even though I do not see him losing to Stevens, it could happen. Stevens is a dangerous puncher who is currently riding a huge confidence wave. It can happen.

I follow Golovkin because he is exciting and does damage in the ring. When I watch him, I see opponents go from full of confidence to sudden fear. In that aspect he reminds me of Tyson. The way he carries himself in there seems to break his opponents down mentally within minutes, long before breaking them down physically. That is why I watch him. On November 2nd, someone is going to get their head knocked off. It will probably be Stevens, as he is far more raw than ggg, but with his power, it could also be Golovkin.
Dean, you're not a follower, and that is why I respect you. All you have to do is keep it one hundred. The last thing you want to do is to have a rep like Robust. If you don't like a fighter that he likes, you're a racist. #Scumbag

It's funny how people think of GGG as just a puncher. He sets up his shots darn good. Abel Sanchez has been doing a good job with the GGG.

No, Macklin was no threat to GG or Martinez regardless of how he fought Martinez.

GG is not on his way up anymore. He's a champion. He must step up his comp. At least he is facing a threat. A guy who can punch. That's the first step to proving me wrong personally.

And that is what Golovkin says he wants to do with him in there, turn it into a Street fight. Now if Golovkin goes in there looking to just have a war, that is playing into what Stevens wants. Stevens has lots of power also and from what I can tell, quicker hands, at least early in a fight.

LOL We probably like a lot of the same fighters, Franky Boy. I like Mayweather and Kovalev. Does that turn you off to them?

                    Keep it 100% doe.

His comp is the condition of the sport. His opponents all want huge coin to fight him, only he and his backers cannot supply it, that will come in time as long as he keeps winning. I will not hold his opponent class against him. He has be trying to land big fights and as long as they do that, it is good enough for me.
