    • Wow, great numbers don't think it will break the record, but it's gone very high.

On the otherside to reply so someone who said something about a huge fight involving Canelo vs Manny, forget about it. Canelo would KO Pacquiao for sure, you know why? because Canelo is a boxer-counterpuncher, yeah he is, even Floyd said that on an interview after the fight "Canelo is a thinker". those are the dudes who beat Pacquiao, imagine a Marquez with much power and size. and yeah Marquez and Canelo almost looked the same against Mayweather, I wouldn't go crazy to say that even Canelo looked better.

My point with this is that Floyd has become a monster, almost an invincible dog from 140 to 154

Martinez might do decent numbers. But we'll see. I predict Guerrero-ish numbers for his next fight.
Mayweather-Guerrero did low numbers (by Floyd's ridiculously high standards) because Floyd had lil to no interest in promoting the event. It was the first time Floyd's ego bit him in the ass. He's been doing monsterous numbers for so long that he felt that all he had to do was show up and people were gonna come out in mass. I doubt he makes that mistake again. Showtime and GBP aren't gonna fund a 12-city promotional tour or anything. But Floyd's next fight, likely against Garcia, will have a sufficiant build-up that will be entertaining, due to Angel. And I expect that fight to do at least 1.25m ppv buys.

He puts his own money on the line and takes on expenses. So it's not at all nonsensical.

How many PPVs did Alvarez pull in his last fight? Oh, wait, Alvarez has never fought on PPV before. Don't delude yourself. The 2.2 million number is 90 percent due to Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather's next fight will be on PPV also and if it does only 800,000 PPV buys, that will be twice as many buys as Pacquaio/Rios or Pacquaio vs anybody in a future bout. As for Alvarez, his next fight all forseeable fights will be on regular Showtime because nobody will pay to see Alvarez/Molina or Alvarez/Angulo or Alvarez/Hatton II or whatever stiffs GBP chooses to match him up with in his next few fights.

I think 1.25 might be too high. He will need to stack the card with Mexicans for his card to sell on a mexican holiday imo.

It would almost certainly be a different fight, but no, it wouldn't necessarily be a lot more entertaining.

When is everybody going to realize that Canelo isn't the mauling, one body punch KO threat he was portrayed as in the marketing for the Mayweather fight?

There is not a fight in Boxing right now that would do 2 Million PPV buys without Mayweather in the fight.

Canelo could do a PPV with anyone else on the planet and it's not coming close to 2 Million perhaps not even 1 Million other than Pacquaio, Chavez or Cotto or someone like that. It's still not coming close to 2 Million without Mayweather.

Mayweather was Oscar De La Hoya's highest grossing fight.

He's Cotto's highest grossing fight and will be until he retires.

He will be Canelo's highest grossing fight.

There's a reason. Let's put two and two together here.
You know that would ruin a lot of people's agendas here. A lot of these clowns won't admit the truth.

Hell, these haters don't even enjoy boxing at it's purist. They just hate the fact that (1) the best boxer of this generation (+1) is in fact the best of this generation (=2).
