He's top 20 for me. I don't even have Duran in my top 10, no way Floyd's there yet. I gotta wait for the book on his career to be closed.

The only fighters I have ever seen that I think are better than Floyd are Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali.

He is probably in the top 10-15 right now but 10-15 years from now he will be in the top 5 most likely.

Around 50th looks right to me!! My reasons are easy to understand, he's not an offensive fighter and doesn't look to finish a fight! His excellant defense would not be that excellant against some of the welters who could punch much harder than ANYONE he's fought! Floyd is very talented but as a welter he's small, has light hands and is becoming more and more one dimentional.

Some folks need to think about all the great fighters from ALL the weight classes! From 140 to 154 where Floyd operates from heres a few that he would need to be "perfect" with or get beat up badly or KO'd!

                      some of the more modern guys;
                      Pete Whitaker
                      Don Curry
                      ...................
                      Ray Leonard
                      Tommy Hearns
                      ................
                      Jose Napoles
                      Emile Griffth
                      ..................
                      Barney Ross
                      Sugar Ray
                      ................
                      Henry Armstrong
Mickey Walker...................heres a few men from different era's that in my opionion could handle Floyd without to much trouble. The problem would be chasing him down and making him fight!

Maybe Floyd should move up to Middleweight and fight that Champ. Floyd says he's better than Sugar Ray, Sugar moved up to fight LaMotta as a welter and beat him. Sergio isn't exactly fighting amotta so why not try?

If your tha great or the greatest! I think being the best of your geneation should be just fine, and a great accomplishment too! Some fans just get carried away at times, its those fan-at-ics! Top fifty is pretty damn good!!
