These are the type of comments that make Rocky Marciano one of if not the most overrated fighter in History
    http://theboxingmagazine.com/2009/09...ano-overrated/
No other heavyweight champion who came after Rocky fought the kind of competition he did. You can spit out any heavyweight’s name in modern history from Ali to the Klitschkos. Did any of them fight anyone with the win totals of guys like Ezzard Charles and Archie Moore? No. Also, with the advent of the cruiserweight division it would be impossible for Ali to fight a lot of those champs at their natural weight if he were to fight them at his normal weight of 185-189. It wouldn’t be sanctioned. He’d have to be given the benefit of the doubt of his uncanny ability to adapt to any situation and train like Hell for every fight. He’d have to bulk up to fight those guys, and you better believe he would have and could have beat every one of them in his prime if he had the chance. Fantasy match-ups against Rocky are for the birds. The reality is much better. 49-0 has never been beat at heavyweight and probably never will be.
    Seriously lmao

Lol @ no one fought the type of comp like he did

Stop embarrassing yourself making Holyfield such a greater boxer. In his prime yes, but his prime was short lived.. Marciano has if not a greater chance to stop Holyfield as Toney/Bowe
Ok Einstein now ur talking about an old Holyfield. Did Marciano stay to fight people past 33

      ........ Yea that's what I thought

And yea he got TKO'd against a guy who was 240 pounds not 185 pounds

And Foreman @ 42 still had a lot of Power. Say he didn't and u would be a goddamn liar

To out box a 42 year old foreman is far from impressing... But a 42 year old foreman had power but was far from impossible to beat.

So a 33 year old, who is 49-0 and heavyweight champ... Decides to retire.
So if Floyd where to retire, your gonna clown him for 5 years from then a new star comes and he doesn't come from retirement to fight them.

Did Rocky duck out of Boxing at the age of 33 b4 the era of Large Heavyweights came????
No. He was in back pain and no one on the horizon looked like a worthy challenge. Liston was still an unknown and I don't think anybody saw Patterson as a challenge. I may be wrong.

Marciano is one of those guys that's either waaaaaaaay underrated or waaaaaaay overrated. There just seems to be no middle ground in Marciano discussions.

But i don't think Rock matches up well at all with Holyfield. Nothing that Marciano does stylistically has ever been proven to trouble Holyfield.

I think Holyfield takes it in any manner he pleases. Whether in the trenches, or by picking him apart at mid-to-long range. It would be an all-time classic Holyfield decided to engage him in trench warfare.

              Who wins?

                  Lol.

If Marciano traded punches with Evander Holyfield, Marciano would find himself counting the lights hanging from the ceiling...
