and who will pay to watch GGG vs Mayweather? is Gennady really that known in US? If not for Mexicans, record wont be broke past Saturday.

That is definitely an issue, although I do think it should be easier to promote Golovkin as a credible threat over someone like Devon Alexander

I don't know of anyone that knows who GGG is. Very few even know who Ward is and he won a gold medal for the US in the Olympics!

Won't happen. Golovkin offers nothing for Floyd. No money, no big name, no legit chsmionship and he's wayyy bigger. These big ass fighters need to stay in their weight classes and do work there. Stop chasing dreams.

It's not like Golovkin loses anything from throwing his name out there.

GGG would KO floyd, and I'm a Floyd fan. He doesn't even need to hit Floyd in the head he puts down 175+ men with body shots. At 154 the power will still be far and above anything Mayweather has felt before and Floyd isn't hurting any JMW or MW.

Still Floyd said Martinez was going to have to come down to 150 to fight him. He wouldn't fight GGG at 147 even if he was a Mexican.

But you give credit to Manny for Cotto Oscar and Margarito don't you ?

Did you call for Manny to fight Cotto at Cottos weight .

Did you call for Manny to fight Margo at 154 which was Margos weight at the time having fought there . ?

Mannys fight night weight last fight was 148 and JMM 150 , why is he fighting 140 Rios and not 154 Trout Canello Cotto or at least at WW , why is Manny not expected to fight MWs he is same weight on fight night as what Floyd is , and people say he can beat Floyd , but he beat the guys Floyd is expected to beat , something not quite adding up .

I can just see it now at the weighing Floyd 150 GGG 160 , now lets go of and rehydrate and Floyd drops weight and GGG is 168-170 LOL ,

Your a kid that has never boxed , you said Canelo was going to knock him out and now you jumped on another even bigger ship to hate on , you will always be a wet behind the ears hater .

                  .

Floyd didn't say Sergio must come down to 150 , Sergio said he would go to 150 for Manny first , then a journo asked Floyd citing the offer and would he fight Sergio at 150 , Floyd said they will look at it .

Your guys leave stuff out and rearrange the conversations in the interviews which paints it not how it went down .

Boxingscene posters would love the fight and think it's the greatest matchup that could be made, but the casual fans wouldn't get behind it like they got behind the Canelo fight (a fight that people on forums weren't that hyped about).

Cotto-Margarito I was a huge fight in the forums, but the PPV didn't crack 600K. Ditto for Pacquiao-Marquez II. Casual fans are the ones that help reach records and GGG is an unknown entity. It'd be a great matchup and fight even at 154, but Floyd can make what he would against GGG against Khan or even Garcia so there's really no incentive except being rated higher in the opinions of some Boxingscene posters.
