Santa Cruz needs a big step up. He undoubtedly has potential, but his competition has been questionable. To be fair the kid is still developing.

I remember he was asked about a Rigo fight on the Boxinglab and he simply showed no interest and dismissed Rigondeaux as a "boring fighter".

He either has great understanding that promotional beef prevents that fight from occurring OR simply knows he is not ready for El Chacal. Maybe both.

of course we'd rather see him against a quality fighter,but the point we trying to make is we just want to watch him regardless of who he's fighting

That doesn't work for me. I can watch mismatches on Telefutura every Saturday night at 11PM if I want to. I prefer fights, not exhibition matches.
