Btw, please can all you Floyd d*ck riders not respond calling me a hater, I think Floyd is one of the most skilled fighters ever to put on a pair of gloves but he doesn't do risky fights, I know it, you know it, everyone knows it.
...so now Canelo was not a risky fight, huh?

But like I stated above, GGG shouldn't be moving down a full weight class at his age. Some can do it but it can potentially ruin him.
It would probably be tough, but he has continued to maintain he would go there for Mayweather. He stays in good shape and seems to make 160 easily, so I think he may be able to make 154 for the next year or two without any major adverse impact on his performance.

I'd rather see Canelo vs. GGG. This will either prove that Canelo is not what everyone thought he was, or it would prove that Canelo is the real deal and lost to a better man and that GGG is not what everyone makes him out to be.

I'd like to see it too. I'm sure Golovkin would take it too given the money Canelo brings to the table.

I made a thread about this a few days ago. Most people had Golovkin winning via TKO/KO at 157. I have him winning by a late round stoppage myself.

a GGG fight is not happening next

as of right now, GGG brings nothing to the table ... no legit straps, no lineage, and no $$$

a fight for floyd @ 160 would be about making history, GGG doesnt add to that

Weight classes are there for a reason. Why does Floyd always have to moving up? 3G has fought his entire career at 160. Why aren't you guys screaming at him to move up the way you scream for Floyd and Broner to? Froch is the biggest pay day for anybody in the 160 to 168 pound range and he called out 3G months ago. Instead you want this guy fighting guys like Floyd two and three weight classes lower, while you give him a pass for ducking a guy one division higher. Do you see Floyd calling out Ricky Burns?

I think GGG is going to move up soon unless Martinez or Quillin fights can be made. I'm not going to blame the guy for wanting to unify the MW division or seeking a lucrative fight (far more lucrative than Froch) against the P4P#1 fighter who hasn't shown he is vulnerable yet. The only reason I want to see this fight is because I believe Floyd is way better than his potential opponents at 147-154 at the moment. I would like to see Floyd challenged and I respect the skills Golovkin brings to the table. I think it would make for an interesting match-up.

Also, the rules need to change if weight classes are going to matter as much as you make them seem. We have guys ballooning up 15-20 pounds like Trout, Alvarez, Chavez, Rios, etc. between the weigh-in and the fight. I think there should be a rule implemented for all fights that only allows fighters to rehydrate up to 10-12 lbs. above the weight limit.
