It was a jab.

Garcia said it himself. He said in an interview that he landed a job that made Lucas squint his eyes and rub several times and that all of a sudden the eye was busted.

Three things

1. either Garcia's jab is powerful (he has a great hook, but this would be inhuman)

2. or, Lucas has some damage in that eye area that makes him predisposed to it. He also had that incident against Harris. His lack of D makes it worst.

I hope Lucas makes a speedy recovery he's one of my many favorite fighters. I saw him live in AC against Peterson and have no regrets of seeing him in a 3 round annihilation. I need him to move up to weight and retire Khan.

but he wasn't better. he would have lost without the poor reffing. what about that don't you understand? he won 5 rounds pretty clear and it would have been 6, but he was tangled in the ropes after a rabbit punch cuffed him in the head . the ref is supposed to protect fighters from just this kind of situation. its a tainted win just like mares-agbeko 1 where the ref ruled a low-blow a knockdown. pretending that garcia won legit makes you look pathetic and shows you don't care about boxing only certain fighters.
