Oscar dela Hoya is very Arum like

It's funny how no one in boxing has mentioned. How Oscar cashed in the career of Canelo. For a huge payday. I was watching the fight and I felt bad. I knew from round one this kid wasn't really ready. Oscar sold him and told him all of this bs. Then ditches him runs off to be in rehab. When he could have waited. He's a coward. He knew what alot of ppl in boxing knew. That the kid wasn't ready. He was either further away then alot of ppl thought. So what the kid made money. You have to look at what kind of mental set back this can have on Canelo. I never had a problem with Canelo so I'm gonna root hard for him and hopefully he becomes the face of boxing. As fans of boxing we have to call Oscar to the mat for his bull**** period.

ODLH is a promoter. All successful promoters are pretty much the same.

What? Oscar promoted him to being the most overrated fighter in boxing and a shot against the top fighter and like $20 mil, all at the age of 23.

He got outboxed by floyd, so what? It was a win-win situation

All of these big time powerful Mexican businessman came to town. More so this week than any other time. The writing was on the wall with Canelo. When he up and went to rehab 2 days before the fight. Oscar didnt want have to answer or deal with the questions from all these ppl about him promising the kid will be ready and he wasn't. I assure you alot of ppl Oscar do business with Mexico are highly upset. Bc the kid was to green and got embarrassed on top of that Oscar was blowing smoke up their asses. With unrealistic expectations that he knew wasn't even close to be true.

If Alvarez truly has the desire, hunger and talent, this loss shouldn't do anything to him. If anything, competing at that level, in such a heavily hyped event, should help his confidence in future. And what happened to him is what virtually every sensible person thought: he got decisively outboxed by one of the greatest in the sports history. No sustained punishment, just a little dent to the ego that can easily be healed through a quick *******.

Let's see if he can advance beyond simply being the good talent that he is right now. Hopefully he is able to maintain his weight between fights and stay at 154 for at least another two years. It will be tough, but he can manage it with the right discipline

Ok i respect your take on it.

But understand Bob Arum--despite his shenanigans--is one of the smartest and longest tenured promoters in the history of boxing. Im not sure the comparison is warranted.
