Gennady Golovkin vs. Canelo Alvarez at 157

I think Golovkin would win via a late KO/TKO. Canelo's chin really hasn't been tested yet, so it would be interesting to see how he takes Golovkin's shots. Canelo could have some success boxing early, but I think Golovkin would effectively cut off the ring and force Canelo to exchange. I favor Golovkin to have the better-placed shots in such a situation.

but i agree with you. golovkin by late round tko. funny how canelo's trainer said a few yrs ago that canelo at age 19 wasnt ready for floyd. well it comes a few yrs later and canelo still wasnt ready for floyd. n for surely canelo won't b ready for golovkin anytime soon. golovkin would destroy canelo.

the only thing that worries me is the catchweight. golovkin isn't a young man. he looks drawn at the weigh ins at middleweight.


a healthy golovkin knocks canelo out. his feet are way too slow. canelo might land some counterpunches along the way, but golovkin has a great chin.
