I think Kieth Thurman is the most dangerous welterweight.

Bull$h!t. At that time Berto was an undefeated champion. Pacman should have fought him instead of letting Ortiz take the fight, beat him and then go on to fight Floyd. Anyhow you've already proven my point with "who was he supposed to fight".

Pacman's welterweight is not that impressive. His chin got shattered and right now I'd take Thurman over him.

I've heard that people say he should've fought Berto and I somewhat agree; I just don't agree with your logic. Here's why, because if you schit on Pac's record at 147, then tell me what Berto had done at that point?

If Pac has a weak WW resume, then I can only imagine what you thought of Berto's

Then if Pac actually would've beaten him, I can only imagine what you would say. And no please don't tell me that Andre Berto would've somehow managed to change your mind about Pac's resume.

If that's the case, then Victor Ortiz should be a God in your book, which he isn't.

I don't see it. He was in tough in his last fight for a bit against a guy FAR below the level of guys some of you claim he would easily beat. I think he is the product of a hard punch and good match making. Not saying he isn't a talented guy with a big upside, I'm just saying that he hasn't proven it yet.

            agreed

I think Thurman has all the goods, the only thing that Thurman needs is a big name on his resume.

He's a star in the making. There are plethora of guys in 147/154 lb division to fight and even if guys like Guerrero are ducking him now, I feel as though GBP will be able to strong arm them into eventually making the fight. By 2015 he could be very good sell for a Mayweather PPV and or other possible big fights with Broner/Garcia/Canelo.

He has the goods, just needs more time to grow as a fighter.

And work on his geography skills...San Diego.

Berto's resume is worse than Pacman's. But the point i'm making is he was still an undefeated champion. If Pacman fought him and beat him there never would have been a Floyd/Ortiz fight and maybe a Pacman/Floyd fight when it mattered.

Pacquiao-Berto in Spring 2011 would have been acceptable for sure, much better than Mosley coming off his last two fights.

Pacquiao's really only had 1 good fight since his run of Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, and that was Bradley. Marquez 4 was only a big fight because of the debacle in Marquez 3.

Thurman looks solid. I'll wait hold up though until he fights someone like Guerrero, Maidana, Alexander/Khan, Ortiz, or someone else at 147.
