he was on the take. every single thing he did helped garcia. only in the 12th when the fight was in the bag did he take a point for the most obvious low blow ever. garcia even lied and said matthysse was pushing his head down when matthysse wasn't even touching him.
Lucas Matthysse: "Rematch vs Garcia is signed and only thing left is to set the date"

It's premature for rematch negotiations. I still think Lucas will be a force to reckon with, if Garcia passes on the rematch and moved up he should do Matthysse the favor vacate and lead him to a mandatory challenger position. But you'll probably get a ****** in here shouting Garcia is ducking if he doesn't take the fight. It wouldn't matter to much because they can meet @147 eventually provide if the each get good wins.Last edited by AP♠; 09-16-2013, 03:28 PM.Comment

He did see them and he did say something. The first time it happened Weeks warned Danny. Then it happened a few more times and he warned Danny again but he also warned Matthysse for pulling Danny's head down. This is why he didn't take a point from Garcia. The final time there was no head pull and the shot landed below the belt so the ref took a point. I don't think he did a bad job at all.Comment

True but he should fight Mayweather first because he'd NEVER in 100 of his lifetimes EVER see that kind of money again. He'd lose but he'd be set for life. $$$$$Last edited by TheMexHurricane; 09-16-2013, 03:28 PM.Comment

Imo the first fight was close. If he managed to beat Matthysse a second time that should effectively shut up all haters.Comment

well the problem is that team garcia hasn't talked to anyone about their next fight. they haven't even spoken with richard haymon or anyone........
lucas made that statement because he's probably embarrassed by the outcome.
in realty there has been absolutely no talks of anything, & from the little thats been spoken (from team garcia) they are looking to be pursuing a welterweight move into bigger money...........from the jump lucas was suppose to be their last fight at jr. welterweight.
"Fresh off his tight victory over Zab Judah this past weekend at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, WBA/WBC junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia is now contemplating a move up to 147 in the near future. Boxing Scene is reporting that Garcia has said he would like to have one more fight at junior welterweight, possibly in the late-summer, before moving up to welterweight"
am i saying that the rematch is impossible? no..........but pretty unlikely. team garcia wants the big money now...........angel garcia is already saying that mayweather vs danny will be a "holly war" sad to say, lucas probably hasn't even crossed team garcias mind since that event.Comment

the first fight wasn't close........lucas was beat quite clearly. & garcia already shut up the haters by BEATING him. knocking him down, taking everything he had to offer (every power punch). swelling up his nose and his entire right side of his face. closing his eye shut. outclassing him.........
what are you talking about?
if garcia did give lucas a rematch it would be strictly out of the kindness of his heart.Comment

How dumb do you feel? I can't believe the ******ity of SO many posters over hyping a guy with 0 marquee wins. I will have fun selecting one of your moronic quotes to put in my sig. I hope you learned your lesson. Two days later? Damn, both sides must have had a lot of interest in doing it again.
I'll be honest based on what I saw on Saturday. I think Lucas can win, but it's more likely that Danny continues to improve and wins again. Lucas can win, though. I expect another good fight either way.
I can't help but laugh really hard at the change in my opinion. Feel free to go at me.
