Will Boxingscene Finally Submit That Floyd Is The #1 P4P?

Simple question for you guys on the forum: Do you think that Boxingscene will finally admit that Floyd is the number one p4p fighter in the world? Last year it seemed as if the staff writers did all in their power to make sure that he remained at number 2. They placed Manny Pacquiao as the number one fighter in the world despite having a questionable win over Juan Manuel Marquez in their third fight and an official loss to Bradley last June (although Manny actually won that fight).

Now that Manny has been vanquished without question it seemed like they searched out for a new p4p king as long as it was anybody besides Floyd. I see the argument for placing Ward in the top five but I don't see how he's number one. Mayweather has nearly as many title fights as Ward has total fights. He's been undefeated longer and has won championships in more weightclasses. He's now a lineal champ in two weight divisions after thoroughly outclassing the light middleweight champ.

Ward has done nothing this year while Floyd has shown he can still dominate the opposition even at the age of 36. So what do you think guys? Is Ward still number one or do the writers at BS finally need to admit that Floyd is still king?

Floyd has always been #1 pfp in my eyes. This win over Canelo just put him at ATG status.

Have you ever read a P4P rankings thread?

90% of the posters lists have Floyd as #1, even since 2 years ago.

That Canelo win solidifies the fact that he is p4p

I've read plenty but the writers on this site disagree and some of the posters agree with the writers that Ward is indeed number 1. I'm wondering if that has changed at all especially after this weekend.

There is no doubt Floyd is the best boxer in the world. There is no-one in the current scene I could see beating him or even giving him a competitive fight.

I believe Cliff is in charge of the P4P Rankings here at this site. He's tried everything in his power to not have Floyd at #1 for the past 5 years. I don't see it changing now. "Ward not fighting anybody is better than Floyd beating the hell out of Canelo" is what he'll right in his take for why Ward is still #1 lol. But seriously, Floyd's number 1, he's been Number 1 for years and Ward is rightfully number 2 as he's admitted that he feels being ranked at #2 is the right call for right now. Floyd and Andre are unbeatable.
