ALL RESUME ASSESSMENTS should take into account

...that NO ONE has fought everyone the public feels they shoud have WHEN the public felt they should.

It's not possible from a business or professional stand-point. To actually discredit a fighter's resume without taking into account public knowledge and/ or the trend of his handlers (manager/ promoter) is dang near being ignorant just to be ignorant.

    Danny Garcia:
The first Morales (GBP) win was for the WBC belt against a legend that had just beat Cano in a gritty fight prior.
Next, the Amir Khan (GBP) fight was pressed on him through politics, as everyone from the WBC to GBP expected Khan to snatch that belt as Amir would be more profitable for all involved. He wins.
Morales exercises his rematch clause, as he was the bigger name in their first fight and did well enough that he thought he could come back and beat Garcia.
The next fight, Zab Judah (working with GBP) seemed to be a fight to try and actually gain Garcia some fanbase after the other attempt at his belt failed.
Now, Matthysse (GBP), who had been waiting to fight Garcia and seems to have went as far as signing with Al Haymon to secure the fight. He was in a position to either be Danny's mandatory or fight some, in the end, lesser opponent for Danny's belt.
With this in mind, when trying to guess who Garcia is going to fight next, the only real options are Peterson, Mayweather, Ortiz or Guerrero.
Danny said the Matthysse fight was likely his last at the weight and GBP has already fed Mayweather their top 147-lbs.

    Pacquiao:
It should already be clear that much of his opposition was determined when he failed to make his way to GBP. During his rise, he fought the fighters that Top Rank had available for him to fight or fighters that didn't hold enough weight to refuse any future options Top Rank would demand from them for the opportunity to fight him.
At welterweight, Top Rank had Clottey, Cotto and Margarito (I also believe they had options on Shane Mosley) and Pacquiao fought them all in time.

The same thing that applies to Pacquiao also applies to Clottey, Cotto and Margarito. Mosley seemed to be more capable of playing the game as he was brought in as an "opponent" for Cotto, Margarito, Mayweather, Pacquiao AND Alvarez.

It gets tiring to see people attempt to really pick apart resumes as if boxing is as easy as showing up to a gym, saying you want to fight someone there and climbing through those ropes.

Nowadays, fans have to not only deal with the egos of boxers, many of the top promoters have even bigger issues which are going to start hurting many of these young fighters when the HOF starts questioning "who did you fight."
