Angel made Danny dig deep into his soul to pull off the win. The way he smacked him & told him go to the body, Danny listened.
I think Angel had a lot to do with Danny coming up with the "W."

Is tough for a grown man to lose a fight in front of his father, when Danny is struggling Angel pushes those buttons, causing him to dig down even deeper, For Danny taking a few punches is nothing, he rather that than mentally folding and letting down his father

Before the Matthysse fight I always thought Danny trained himself and brought his dad along with him. Hearing his between round talk changed my opinion of this. If he is the one coming up with the plans he is great.

Interesting that Danny didn't specifically mention his dad in the post fight interview. It seemed to me that Danny was pissed at his dad. His dad was noticeably bothered by this. I wonder if their professional relationship will end due to the "tough love" tactics.

He's one hell of a trainer. He could see Khan's faults and read him like a book, if you listen closely in the Khan/Garcia fight you can hear him scream something in Spanish telling him to go for the hook just before he threw it. Plus Garcia said before the Lucas Matthysse fight ''Me and my dad have a great gameplan'' and by where they right. He's a sharper cookie than people think, he says he doesn't watch tape on opponents but believe me he studies and knows all his opponents strengths and weaknesses.
