I feel bad for Matthysse

Garcia prevailed by decision as expected and I was pleased with that but all in total it was a frustrating fight to watch if you were hoping for the best from each guy. Garcia wasted countless rounds trying to catch Matthysse with the perfect counter punch, waiting and waiting and waiting. I was screaming at that fool to "lead, lead, lead!!!" Virtually every time Garcia did lead he scored or did damage. The reality is Danny fought a nervous unsteady fight. I feel he was very very fortunate Lucas Matthysse was nowhere near as skilled, hard hitting or punch resistant as he was made out to be. And I do mean nowhere near.Comment

its no doubt the eye caused some problems. And respect to Lucus for stating their is no excuses. He didnt blame the eye or nothing. It just wasnt his night.
He is still a real threat to anyone who climbs in the ring with him. Props to Garcia for standing and making it a fight to the end. That deserves much respect. He didnt get on his bike and ride. Like some other boring fighters will do.Comment

Feel bad for what? He lost to a better fighter. His career isnt over. He's an exciting fighter and Showtime loves him. Plus he still has Haymon backing him so he will have no problem getting fights.Comment

This is boxing. Someone wins and someone lose (unless CJ Ross is judging). I don't feel sorry for him. With that being said, he will bounce back from this. He still has a strong following and as long as he has power he beats most boxers you put in front of him.Comment
