It looks like Lucas needs to start fighting more intelligently since he has some decent skills, but seems to be too focused on landing the big shot.
overhyped? Nonsense. He lost a fight to an underrated but solid fighter. That's all that happened.

      LOL... So true...

What would have have been the future of the "overhyped" Alexander after his Bradley / eye incident / terrible fight ??

No where near done like some idiots have said. He can recover. Always thought Garcia would take the fight, NSB underrated the **** out of Garica.

I don't believe anyone is going to be jumping at the idea to fight such a dangerous guy, especially coming off a loss. But mathysse is still a top guy at 140 he just ran into a better fighter that night.

Its a shame he still hasn't won his first world title while Peterson is still IBF champion.

How about a rematch with Zab Judah since they are both moving up to 147?

This is probably a debate that boils down to semantics. Matthysse is clearly a good fighter.

Judah-Matthysse II is an interesting possibility

with garcia and khan going up to 47 there isn't much at 140. maybe an ESPN level fight with hank lundy? im sure rios/alvarado/provodnikov are all out of the question even though they would be good fights.

i want to see a garcia rematch and even a judah rematch might not be so bad

Losing to a champion on sketchy reffing is overhyped now?
