even if Khan beats Alexander, and I'm on the record thinking he won't, he still needs to avenge his loss to Garcia. Until that time Garcia's far more deserving in my estimation.

Garcia may be more deserving, but he would have zero chance of beating Floyd. He did great last night and really proved his naysayers wrong, but he is not going to challenge Floyd. Khan, love him or hate him, really can pose lots of problems for Floyd. If you want to see the most deserving guy get a shot, then maybe Danny's your guy, but, if you want to see somebody get in there who might actually beat Floyd, then send Khan.

He was knocked down and HURT by a shot Julio Diaz! He was pushed all the way in that fight.

Style-wise nobody has a better chance than Amir Khan of beating Floyd. He is the only fighter out there at the moment who has the right blend of attributes (hand and foot speed, combination punching, power and endurance) to give Floyd problems. He may have a weak chin, but Floyd isn't going to test it, so he has no obvious weakness for Floyd to exploit (like Canelo's heavy feet). Nearly EVERY one of Floyd's opponents is slow-footed compared to him. Khan is probably 3x faster than Floyd in that department, so he would be something Floyd has not seen in quite a while, if ever. I don't even like Khan all that much, but he honestly makes for a better match-up than anyone else out there.

Khan has no chance at all to beat Floyd. And yes floyd will check that chin.
Khan would get ko'd.
With that said.......Floyd has to fight somebody so why not Khan.

Khan first has to beat Devon convincingly to show us if he has still got something in the tank, he went life and limb with Diaz and was KD, Floyd isn't Diaz.

Khan hasn't been the same since that Garcia fight, he should have stuck with Roach, he looks like a shell of a fighter now

Amir Khan is the next most popular available opponent for Mayweather. You can't fault Khan and his loyal fanbase for supporting their fighter and getting him this opportunity.

If boxing fans gave Erislandy Lara or Keith Thurman this kind of backing they would be considered PPV quality fighters too.
