Mayweather looked outstanding last night against a strong, young talented fighter in Canelo. One of his best performances to date. I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of the fight.

Canelo got a 15 million $$ learning experience. Not bad for a 23 yr old.:

Boxing lesson my arse !! Canelo hit him many times in the body and jabbed too. People just don´t count body punches for some reason. Floyd was faster, yes but that´s because Canelo was weak due to weight drain. Floyd is naturally faster too, most blacks are but never hurt Canelo at all. Floyd´s arms must still be hurting right now. It was just a display of Floyd´s running and elusiveness, that´s it. He can´t hurt a fly. I had it a draw.

Excuse me, but it seemed to me that Canelo displayed indolence last night.
Canelo took a pile of money but he took no risk and looked like an amateur in what should have been the fight of his life...

Well, maybe this is what Canelo's team meant when they stated Saul was going to be "smart": getting 12-15 USD millions for a short sweat can't be bad. It has to be considered that Canelo experienced stamina problems in the past and if he would have been chasing Floyd more often and cutting the ring he could have gassed by the 7th or 8th round and there was also a catch weight demand that could also affect his stamina. So, Saul played safe knowing that he was getting a good burse and got with the sparring session since Floyd also was very contemplative and never was able to hurt Saul. And the truth is that the previous bout between Garcia and Mathysse also felt short from expectations considering many believed it was going to be candidate a fight of the year but it was not even close. The fight of Carlos Molina and Smith was boring and the only fight who was more competitive and has more volume of punches was between Cano and Teophane. IMHO the PPV event was expensive but the action didn't compensate the cost.

Canelo just looked a half step behind for most of the fight and landed on a lot of arms and gloves, but then again many of Floyd's shots fell short or landed on gloves, too. Great performance nonetheless by Floyd, fought a sharp fight and proved he is "The One". Expected a Plan B from Canelo, but he looked short on ideas.
lol. Mayweather completely dominated the fight. I couldn't even make a strong case for Canelo winning a particular round.

If that's not domination, I don't know what is.

When Canelo came face to face with reality, son was shooked, that's why he took no risks last night, but he did tag Mayweather with some good shots, a jab that pushed Money May's head back.
