This is kinda what i said a while ago, because everyone is stuck on what they saw in the castillo fight. Floyd has seen every kind of come forward fighter there can be and people keep trying the same thing. A pressure fighter plays right into his hands cause he has seen it sooooo many times. Its gonna take an incredible BOXER and there isnt one around cause fans have made boxers become brawlers to be more exciting, well a brawler cant beat a really skilled boxer. BTW Canelo said at the beginning that he thought he could outbox floyd, thats when i said he's gonna get his ass whipped. But damn! A SHUT OUT? AND THE MACHINE NEED TO CALL A REPAIRMAN

What a great day, we got rid of a lot of STANS......Bye bye Matthysse nuthuggers and adios to the canelo stans

Absolutely no one is beating Floyd Mayweather Jr. between 140-154. There is no one good enough. In case anyone hasn't figured it out, he's an ATG sailing atop a sea of guys who just aren't good enough.

I even made a thread back when Canelo fought trout saying I though trout was a tougher fight for Floyd than Canelo and I still believe that

Always thought Lara would make it competitive. People are saying Canelo fought the wrong fight. No, Canelos style is to box at midrange and that style doesn't work well against Mayweather. If people expected Canelo to do his best Ricky Hatton then TDKSAB
Trout would be easier for Mayweather because he's not as dynamic or explosive. Trout is a pretty basic fighter, he has nothing for Mayweather. He couldn't even touch Canelo with any kind of consistency, how will he find Mayweather?
Martinez and Pacquiao don't have much of a shot either. You'd be giving money away betting in either guy.

Awesome performance by floyd last night.
Nobody 140-154 beats him. Trout may give him a competitive fight (I know he lost to Canelo but I feel he'd be tricky for Floyd, though I can't see him actually beating him) and the fight won't happen anyway.

The Pac that was doing his thing a few years ago would be very competitive but the current version not so much, still be a decent fight that I'd like to see but not what it could have been.

Garcia would be a game loser.

I actually see Kahn's speed winning him a round or two until Floyd figures him out and Kahn's chin and defensive obviously let him down. Floyd would get a rare at this point of his career Knock out in this one after kahn surprises a few people by how well he does for a few rounds imo.

For any real challenges I'm afraid you have to look at the middleweights that might be able to make 154 i.e. Martinez and GGG. No way do I see the GGG fight happening. The Martinez one? I don't know if this could happen, it would be very competitive IF Martinez's injuries haven't ruined him.

Martinez would still be a tough fight style wise. I am convinced a Tommy Hearns type fighter would be most effective against Floyd but they come around once a generation.
