A couple of thoughts about last night: Matthyse Garcia was a good fight, Garcia was not as dominant as people are saying but he did proove he is the best fighter at 140 end of story. It was an old school fight with two hungry talented strong fighters and the guy with the better game plan and ability to adjust won. I like the fact that we are seeing more of these kinds of fights. Its part of why I love this sport. Fighters used to have to prove themselves against the best in their prime on a regular basis not just one or two fights not just crash and burn like a lot of these young guys. Which is why I think Garcia should not aim for Mayweather, the kid has a chance to be a real superstar. Mayweather would have 0 issues with Danny and it could affect his confidence to get beat up. 2. Canelo got nearly shut out and he still did better than I thought. He is the best full time 154lber in the world and would beat most top 160 lbers. I think the fight to be built up with him is Golovkin in 2015. Lara is the only guy that can give Canelo some trouble but I think Canelo will learn from this thumping and improve he would beat Lara in a competitive desicion. 3. Pac remains just as good if not better opponent than anyone else for Mayweather. I know a lot of Mayweather fans just want Pac to go away but he still provides a physical package that is unique. I believe May wins a UD but no one can tell me that Danny Garcia, Amir Khan or Devon Alexander are better than Manny. As a matter of fact I think Manny stops all three. If only Pappa Bob could let go. 4. At 36 Fmj is better than ever. This version would compete with any of the greats. He was born to box takes it seriously, I mean every muscle on the guy responds to even the slightest motion by his oponent. Its unreal.

yea as much as i like pacquiao that is basically out the window lol floyd would tear him apart at this point point blank, he took the few canelo shots that landed just fine and showed its all easy work for him

i agree thats why i am ready to see pac rios, if pac can storm thru him in 6 or 7, and then get another big win hes right back in the mix pretty much we just gotta make sure hes still good to go

Mayweather needs to stop these catchweight and puffed up lighter weight fighters and fight Pacquaio if he dominates Rios in awesome fashion.His legacy though great will be tainted without them fighting.
It's clear that Garcia will be targeted next and then probably Rios if he beats Pacquaio.
There is only one fight the public truly want to see and that's against Pacquaio.
Offer Pac the 40 mil again and you know he'd take it.But I fear that Mayweather does not want that fight under any circumstances.

How can Floyd do that when Pac is fighting washed up bums like Clottey, Margartio and Mosley. OR is the one fighting "puffed up lighter weight fighters" like Bradley, JMM and Rios.

The media needs to stop calling it a majority decision and call it a dominating performance because it takes away from what really happened. That was no weight drained fighter. Canelo didn't fade at all, it was science that beat him but he had a lot of energy.

1. Floyd does not need to stop anything..catchweight's included. He's the dominating champ and what he says goes...period!... and his legacy is already written by his stellar talent and unbeaten record. He could retire today and it would not be disputed except maybe by novice fans and Pac worshipers. Note: I'm a HUGE Pac fan but i am also a realist.
2. Rio's will never beat Pac...not even in your wettest dream. Seriously
3. Pac is NOT motivated my $$$ and never was. It's the will to win and being the BEST that drives him.
4. At this point in his career don't you think that Floyd has proven himself? You really think that he fears Pac? Doubtful.

We all share a common love in Boxing and are bonded by the sport but too many people are in denial and refuse to use logic and clear thinking in their assessment of this wonderful sport. Also, we are all entitled to our opinions and i respect everyones viewpoint even if i debate their posts with sarcasm at times, so please do not take my rebuttals personally.
