Like I said in the master thread...

Kudos to Garcia for finally showing me championship level talent. It was hard to gauge how good he was against limited opposition like Khan and Morales, but this was a fantastic performance from him.

That said, he really got a helping hand when Matthysse went half blind in round 6. Up until that point the fight was super competitive and I was tense as **** just watching it. It felt like the fuse had been lit on a bomb or something - You just knew it was only a matter of time until something big went down. But once Matthysse's eye closed it completely changed the course of the fight.

I'd love to see a rematch, but I doubt Matthysse will get one without having to rack up some more pretty major wins. Only now without a title I'm not sure many name fighters are going to want a piece of him due to the risk/reward factor.

I didn't realize how good Garcia was at putting punches together. Khan did well to outbox him the way he did prior to getting KO'd.

I said before the fight this was a tossup. I thought the looser was going to be sleep though. Great win by danny.

I called it from the beginning....Garcia is an ELITE fighter....Matthyse very tough and powerful but not elite.

well he almost went down numerous times but the power of henry akwindada was with him tonight. also the ref stopping the fight to give him a break because his mouth piece flew out. basically the ref let him do anything he wanted.

Ummmm.... the ref is supposed to stop the fight when a fighters mouth piece gets knocked out so he can put it back. Stop crying.

Mattysse was winning the round with the bogus knockdown...so it should have been 10-9 him, rather than 8-10 Garcia. Makes it 114-113 Mattysse, and he wins.
