800K out of 3M is 73-74/27-26 without counting the attendance revenue Ward will get. It's fair, but seeing as HBO is pushing hard for this fight, why not play hardball?

And? Golovkin is barely at the Kessler faze of Ward's career (he has 1 win against top 10 opp). Unlike Golovkin, Ward's a proven elite fighter that has 1 appearance on HBO that garnered better ratings than Golovkin's multiple showcases on the network.

HBO might be overpaying, but in the end, you deserve what you can negotiate.

However, Rodriguez's promoter Lou DiBella does not expect a deal unless the financial terms are increased. Rodriguez was previously offered $800,000.

Rodriguez should bring money from home in order to be allowed to enter the ring with the big star Andre Ward.
Actually, Ward is entitled to take all the money and don't fight at all -- because he wins anyway.

800k is already ridiculous for a no name like Rodriguez. He should go fight Bika for a fraction
