How can any sane boxing fan predict a Mayweather knockout?

It's not a KO because Canelo's chin can't hold up under Floyd's power.

It's a KO because Canelo's poor stamina and exhausted body (which may be compounded by the catchweight) will struggle to hold up.

I think if Floyd wants the KO he can get it. Very late rounds (11/12). But he can still get it.

You don't have to put somebody on a stretcher to get a "knockout."

        what he said

these Alvarez gets KO'd by Floyd predictions stem from the fact that Alvarez has **** stamina. Watched the Trout fight a few minutes ago, and Alvarez was already showing signs of fatigue by the 3rd round.

Trout, who is far from a hard hitter, even had him bouncing around from head shots

Combine this with the fact that Floyd's strategy for this fight involves lot of body shots

Agree 100% alot of people will want Canelo to throw everything he has at Floyd and try to completely pressure Floyd all night, problem with that is he is a fighter who has had noticeable stamina problems with lesser fighters who did not have the skill the will or enough left in the tank to exploit how dangerously tired Canelo has looked. Floyd however will be all to eager to push him hard when he starts to tire.

The reason I don't think a KO for Floyd is impossible is because of how tired Canelo can get, if the crowd gets bored and creates a frenzy for action and Canelo goes for it at the wrong time and tires himself out, that is how I can see Floyd KO'ing him. I do not think Floyd can load up a 1 punch KO in the early rounds, but I do think if Canelo comes in 20 pounds heavier throwing alot of wide punches trying to pressure Floyd to please the crowd, that he could gas and be susceptible to getting KO'd or having the fight stopped.

Canelo best shot would seem to be tryng to box and catch Floyd with a huge counter right hand while Floyd is himself trying to force the action, that would require Canelo to be patient and not care what the crowd thinks at all, almost lulling Floyd into a vulnerable position by making the fight boring to an extent by boxing and trying to resist the urge to create action, many would fault Floyd anyway. But, that is a huge risk as well. If that doesn't work and Canelo just cannot get Floyd in a position to land that shot, it could cost him the fight.

But, pressure could prove to be the end of Canelo if he allows himself to gas as he usually does. Canelo has the power, but can he get it on Floyd at the right time is the question.

Floyd coming in so light makes it seem very likely that Floyd will be moving alot and using speed and timing to take Canelo into the deep end and drown him when he's tired.

Because they expect Canelo to gas out, similar to Chad Dawson in his fight against Ward.

mayweather has physical strength to help his ring craftmanship but poor punching power, and not one punch power at all. ortiz was hit flush in the face hands down and he wasn't hurt at all, he'd looked at the ref took the punch and crawled around thinking floyd had hit on a break and will get disqualified.. yet I've never seen anyone mention this before and it was BLATANTLY obvious what he was trying to do.. if you cant hit them flush and KO them cold you can't punch I do not see floyd getting a ko I expect him to run and box, albeit boring with flashes of brilliance to a 12 round points decision.. hopefully the speed and head movement allows short bursts of canelo activity where he gets close and lets off quick combos to body and head.. only way he can win is by doing that and the hanging back from floyd ready to block and counter the straight right.. if he can do this and steal 30 seconds of last of rounds he could pull it off.. I don't think constant pressure beats floyd unless you've got a long jab in his face all night

Chad Dawson was over powered from the bell because he lost 7 lbs , I bet Floyd don't push Canelo around in clinches , Canelo used to tire naturally , I think the better camp might improve his stamina in this , but everybody tires when against Floyd , hitting air takes a lot out of a fighter .

IMO a gassed and desperate Canelo could easily get dropped by a well timed cross from Floyd. Cotto's brother almost took Canelo out.

Canelo will respect Floyd's power and strength. Unless somehow Floyd starts to commit more to his punches it's highly unlikely Floyd will stop Canelo.

I would assume they were banking on Alvarez being drained when they were making such predictions. Mayweather is not a KO fighter, and he doesn't hit hard enough to drop Alvarez and stop him.

Any stoppage would have to be because of a bad cut or a swollen eye combined with Alvarez being hopelessly outclassed.
